The zloty is being overpriced despite peace in Ukraine getting closer and monetary stimulus introduced by the European Central Bank. What is the source of the Polish currency's weakness?
The arguments for and against the Polish domestic currency, when set together, seem to show that the probability of the zloty strengthening might have been overestimated. Factors affecting this currency, regarded as positive until recently, are slowly losing its significance. In the meantime, new obstacles showed up, amongst which the MPC's interest rate cuts are of the greatest importance.
